Another week, another homeschooling day.
Homeschooling can be so frustrating when you neither want to teach and the kids donβt want to learn, some days just call for a quieter day.
To keep my children interested in learning during this homeschooling period, I like to mix it up a little. We like to get creative. The crafts box is our friend. Although, you donβt need much to make this little twirlywoo. Just a few bits and bobs, but after our English and maths class today it was nice to relax with a bit of arts and crafts.
You will need :
coloured paper, a skewer, scissors and glue stick – I also used a hot glue gun too.
To start, you will need to cut colourful strips of paper.
I used eight strips of paper, cut length ways / the long side, around 1.5-2cm in width.
Also, you will need to cut four circles of paper around 4cm in diameter.
Now that you have your paper strips and circles, itβs time to get sticking! Cover one of your circles with the glue and stick the ends of your paper strips onto the circle, in a round fashion like the picture below. A normal glue stick is suitable for this.
Enjoy
happy adventures
