the jolly pixie

I have always been a lover of Christmas – but now that I have children it seems to be about so much more than waking up to a pile of presents!

It’s just too magical not to love. The festivities, the cold outside, snuggling up inside, warm drinks, fuzzy socks, sharing the laughter and spreading good cheer. It’s pure magic! When you see the children’s little faces light up with so much happiness it’s just amazing, I swear, I spend most of Christmas Day, well, actually, most of December fighting back the tears of joy! Ha!

I love the whole run up to Christmas too. The big build up to the actual day. Attending all the festive outings you’ve been planning for months, getting the last mad dash of shopping done, trying to find a last minute turkey I forgot to buy in advance, or that flipping ugly Christmas jumper, you know, the usual!

On December 1st our ‘elves’ arrive. Yup, we are one of those families who have the “elf on the shelf” elves. Ours are not the traditional red elves but more of a plush cuddley and we don’t follow most of the rules either to be honest. I pretty much make it up as I go along. My girls are allowed to touch and hold their elf whenever they please … but like the traditional elves, they do get up to some mischief! β€” when I remember!

When our elves first arrived around six or seven years ago, my girls were only 4 and 6 months old and they absolutely fell in love with them there and then. To keep the magic alive, I started making little items that I could send to my girls throughout the year, such as postcards, little treats and letters from the North Pole. They absolutely love receiving a special piece of mail in the letter box. They’re both so excited by it, it melts my heart.

Friends and family were soon asking for me to make them one these and one of those and post it to their children … long story short, I ended up with a little business called ‘Juniper Dreams’. It was doing ever so well for a fair few years, but unfortunately I had to stop due to personal circumstances.

Having put a lot of thought (and I mean a lot of thought!), time and effort into it, I am finally ready to start again. I loved my little business before and seeing how much joy I could bring to families all across the country. Myself and my customers have shared such beautiful moments together and created amazing memories and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.

So, after my little (long) break away, I have decided to have a rebrand … and ta da! Just like that, ‘The Jolly Pixie’ is born. I am so so excited for this!

As this is probably going to be my last year with two full believers in the house, before my eldest goes to high school next year (sobs quietly). I am determined to make the very most of it. So the jolly pixie is on full form this year, bursting with festive ideas and lots of elf memories to make.

To kick the start the elfing season off, I have designed this FREE printable elf planner for those busy mums and dads out there. I have thousands of ideas for those elves and all the mischief and good deeds that they can get up to this December, it’s going to be the most organised, most fun, most memorable December yet!

Are you ready?

Happy adventures

nay nay x

P.N. I am always, always unbelievably grateful for every share, like, comment and purchase from all of my wonderful customers and followers. I couldn’t do, what I do without you. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you! Have a great December!
