Feeling like Moana right now.
Do you ever get that feeling where you just need to be at the beach, like right now? Well I’ve been feeling it for a few months now, but with one thing another, our bad winter for one, I just haven’t been able to get there. Plus living smack bang in the middle of the UK doesn’t help much either!
Google to the rescue and Voilá! There’s a beach inbetween Liverpool & Southport.
One hour & twenty minutes away. Sweet! Let’s go!
A quick trip to Starbucks on the way for a trusty white mocha (nom nom) filter the picture and off we went.
And we were not disappointed, my soul was cured at ‘Anthony Gormleys, Another Place’, Crosby Beach, Blundellsands. (Closest car park postcode : L23 8SY)
Well worth a visit, a gentle stroll down the shore, getting that fresh sea air. Be sure to check the tide times before hand to see the 100 statues in all their glory (literally) spanning the shore to make the most of it, otherwise the statues become submerged under the sea at high tide.
Theres also a walkway where visitors can walk along Crosby Beach and the Coastal Path and take in views of the sea, the Wirral and North Wales.
The 22 mile Sefton Coastal Path starts here … we did not walk the whole of this! Caffeine levels were running low.
We did however stop for a break and eat chippies on the shore whilst watching the ships sail by #beachlife
All in all, my soul is cured.
Roll on the next adventure.
