So, Iβm just going to dive right in and share a little info about myself…
Iβll try and keep this short and sweet. Iβm in the early years of my thirties, Iβm a mummy, a homeowner, a caterer & a bit of a hippy at heart. My twenties were mainly spent raising my two daughters (9 & 5). I used to feel like I missed out on my twenties and would rope the grandparents into babysittig so I could have binges of mad weekends partying. Now that Iβm (just slightly) older, Iβve realised that I donβt need those binges, I have so much more fun day-tripping with my little family… also, I canβt handle the hangovers anymore so it really is a win win situation!
As a family we are always having some kind of adventure, a day trip here and there, a weekend away, attending an event or just getting down and crafting with the sticky glues and paint. This year, I am aiming to see more of the UK, get healthier, fitter & live life to the fullest… and Iβm here to share our journey and if I inspire a few of you along the way then thatβs a bonus, right?
This (above) is our βscratchy mapβ of the UK, as you can see we have already scratched a couple of cities and towns off. Mostly local places, but we still have time. Thereβs no rush and Iβm not going to skint myself in the process, you gotta budget for these things. We already have plans to visit Northern Island, Wales, and my soul-home β Cornwall, later on in the year.
(You can buy the βscratchy mapsβ for a couple of quid from eBay, amazon etc)
So this is us. My family. The adventurers.
And if youβve made it this far, thank you for reading my first ever blog! I canβt wait to see what adventures we get up to!
see you soon.
nay nay x
Oh wow! I’ve never heard of scratchy maps! I’m just about to order one right now! A really lovely first blog and your photo about being a ‘nice family’ made me smile! We had a large wall sticker with that wording for a few years! x
